Your questions, answered

Good to know before you decide.

How much does eye surgery in Prague cost?

Indicative lens treatment prices start at €1,000 per eye for monofocal lenses, €1,100 for Mono+, and €1,600 for EDOF or trifocal lenses. Laser eye surgery starts at €890 per eye, depending on the method. A one-off pre-operative examination (€140) and consultation (€50) are charged separately. Your coordinator will prepare a personal offer.

Which eye treatment could suit me?

Your age, prescription, eye health and visual goals all matter. This online check provides an initial direction, not a diagnosis or confirmation of suitability. The clinic confirms the appropriate treatment after an examination.

When might lens replacement be an option?

Lens treatment may be considered for cataracts, age-related difficulty focusing up close, or a wish to rely less on glasses. Age alone does not determine suitability.

What types of lenses are available?

Options include monofocal, Mono+, EDOF, trifocal and toric lenses. The right choice depends on examination results and what you need from your vision.

What is the difference between EDOF and trifocal lenses?

Both are premium options designed to cover more than one viewing distance. The choice depends on your visual needs, expectations and examination results.

Can astigmatism be treated?

Depending on your eye measurements, options may include a toric lens or an additional corrective procedure. The clinic will confirm what is appropriate.

How does choosing an appointment work?

Once your coordinator has prepared your offer, you can discuss or select a suitable appointment. Your enquiry is not a confirmed booking.

Is the online price final?

No. The prices shown online are indicative. Your MedRoyal coordinator will prepare your personal offer; the final treatment plan depends on the clinic’s examination.

When do I pay the reservation deposit?

After the treatment, price and appointment have been agreed. The reservation deposit is 20% of the confirmed total.

How long will I need to stay in Prague?

This depends on your treatment and follow-up appointments. Your coordinator will help you plan your visit with the clinic.

Could my insurance cover part of the cost?

Depending on your insurance, medically necessary cataract surgery may be eligible for partial reimbursement. This cannot be guaranteed. Please check with your insurer before booking.
